National Philanthropy Day® is a special day set aside on the fourteenth of November. The purpose of this day is to recognize the great contributions of philanthropy—and those people active in the philanthropic community—to the enrichment of our world.

National Philanthropy Day allows organizations to recognize the hard working volunteer and professional fundraisers in our communities. Please join us at the Bass Pro White River Conference Center on Tuesday, November 14th to honor the individuals who make a difference in our community.

Aug 21 - Development Assistant
The Development Assistant reports to the Executive Director and will perform administrative duties related to grant writing, fundraising, marketing, and public relations; s/he will gain firsthand experience in strategic planning to increase the capacity of a growing non-profit organization. The development coordinator will be involved with stewardship activities related to non-profit fundraising, grant writing and relationship management, including working with the Executive Director to create and implement the fundraising, development, grant writing and communications strategy for FosterAdopt Connect, as well as donor and grant research and tracking. Aug 15 - Director of Development
The primary duty of the Director of Development (DOD) is to bring in major gifts (gifts of $25,000 or more) by identifying, cultivating, and soliciting prospects for major gifts on behalf of an assigned area(s). The DOD works closely with University administration and appropriate faculty of the college to cultivate potential donors. The DOD exercises discretion and independent judgment in determining which donors and prospects in their prospect pool (consisting of alumni, friends, parents, businesses, foundations, and organizations) to approach based on prospect research, determining how to approach each potential donor, whether the potential donor would be more receptive to a formal written proposal or a verbal proposal, discussing options for potential outright and/or estate gifts, ways of giving, negotiating the policies and procedures for administration of their gifts, determining when travel to meet with donors is appropriate, exercising budgetary authority over the their travel and development budget, etc. ... more >
Aug 9 - District Executive
The District Executive selected will: Work with a volunteer board of directors and other community and business leaders to identify, recruit, train, guide, and inspire them to become involved in youth programs. Achieve progress towards specific goals and objectives which include: program development through collaborative relationships, volunteer recruitment and training, fundraising, membership recruitment and retention. Be responsible for extending programs to religious, civic, fraternal, educational, and other community-based organizations through volunteers. Aug 7 - Senior Annual Giving Officer
The Senior Annual Giving Officer works closely with the Regional Vice President to design and execute a comprehensive development strategy for corporate sponsorships and annual giving society’s prospects for the Mercy Health Foundation. This position may coordinate all Foundation sponsored events focused on cultivation and fundraising and additionally be responsible for oversight and planning of Foundation sponsored events. This individual will work with Mercy physicians, individuals, corporations and other friends of Mercy as part of the corporate relations and annual giving society programs. Aug 3 - Marketing and Communications Intern
This position is for the Fall 2017 Semester, up to 12 hrs/week, for Academic Credit, unpaid. The Marketing & Communication Assistant is responsible assisting in the marketing and branding efforts of the Alzheimer's Association in a 96-county region. They will be responsible for supporting social media, writing, e-mail marketing, media relations, special events as well as other duties as they arise.
